The best cheese competition was held in the Alpaslan II Dam impact area. Cheese made by female farmers were presented to the jury. Women farmers who were successful in the competition were rewarded.(03/11/2023 - Muş)
The competition was held in the field of Alparslan II Dam operation, in which 15 women farmers participated. The competition was attended by Muş Mayor Feyat Asya, Muş Alparslan University Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, Energo-Pro Turkey General Manager Murat Dağdeviren, Muş Deputy Director of Agriculture Eşref Süne, Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences Animal Production and Technology Department head Dr. Lecturer Member Onur Şahin, Energo-Pro ESG Group Leader Catherine Garcia, as well as the Animal Technical Student Community from Muş Alparslan University, public and private organization representatives, students and producers attended.
In the competition area, there was a product exhibition featuring animal and plant products produced in Akpınar village. Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences Dr. Lecturer Onur Şahin gave theoretical and on-site practical training to citizens on Milking Hygiene and Quality Cheese Making in July and August. The cheese were evaluated by a jury consisting of Orhan Karadağ, Faculty Member of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Food Engineer Seracettin Özcan and Kamuran Karadağ from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. As a result of the evaluation made by taking into account the scores given by the jury for the taste, texture, smell and appearance of the cheese, as well as the laboratory analysis results of the cheese; In the competition, Nuriye Koçhan took the first place, Sevda Koç took the second place and Sinem Toplu took the third place. In the competition, the first place winner was given 125 thousand TL, the second place was 100 thousand TL and the third place was given 75 thousand TL.
